If your foot pedal has stopped responding, follow these steps to identify and resolve the issue:

When the foot pedal is depressed, laser won't fire.

NOTE: For argon gas not working please refer to the troubleshooting guide for argon gas

TOOLS NEEDED:

• Paperclip
• Voltmeter

4. Press the Foot Pedal. Check if there is continuity
5. If there is no continuity, replace the Foot Pedal. Troubleshooting ends here
6. If, when testing the Foot Pedal, continuity was found between pins 1 and 3, the following steps must be followed to rule out the Foot Pedal connection or the Control board
7. Locate Pins 1 and 3 on the Foot Pedal socket on the back of the Laser
8. Place a piece of metal in the work chamber.
9. Turn ON the Laser and stick a paper clip into the Pins 1 and 3 holes in the foot pedal socket connection. (The position of Pins 1 and 3 may vary. The photo below is just an example of how to stick the paper clip).

10. Open the Safety Shutter. The laser should start firing if the Hertz are different from 0 (zero)
11. If the Laser does not fire, turn off the Laser and go to the Control Board
12. Take connector J33 off the control board
13. By disconnecting J33, you will find three pins. Using a 2-pin jumper from the Service Jumper Kit, jump pins 1 and 2 (bottom up) on the control board - connector J33.

13. Turn ON the laser and open the Safety Shutter. The laser should start firing if the Hertz are different from 0 (zero)
15. If the Laser does not fire, the Control Board is the problem and must be replaced.
